Bermuda Cedar is endemic and unique to our island home. Its beautiful aroma is “the smell of Bermuda”. Its scarcity is due to a blight in the 1940’s - 1950’s which put it in a semi-precious category. The prices are representative of not only the workmanship but the amount of cedar involved in the design. I believe cedar workers are the only people to relish hurricanes as only then we are able to purchase the downed cedar trees.
